Artist Statement

My goal is to use logical methods to create architectural drawings and models that both mimic and encapsulate the proportions that make the natural world beautiful. Our eyes see the world in a proportional way that I aim to capture in each and every one of my design works, either through a simple sketch or an advanced model.

Perspective drawing and basswood models are my go-to methods of producing early designs, though, I have begun incorporating 3D computer models and virtual reality into my design process within the last 5 years to better visualize projects. When I start a project, I typically begin with a set of pencil and paper sketches, then transition to wood models, and finally complete my model by converting the measurements to CAD and then creating 3D rendered images via Revit.
